Resolving issues after changing a data type of your business object

In this video I show you the most important steps you have to do when you change a data type after the UI generation. In case you need to change the data type of an already active business object you need to do the following:

• Clean the already existing data in your database


• Update the model in the UI's so that they work again correctly

Please note, the above steps are only possible if your solution is not yet assembled / deployed to production. In that case you cannot change a data type but must create a new field with the right data type and eventually perform a "mini migration" between those two fields.
