SAP Intelligent RPA Insufficient Scope Error in Cloud Factory

Hello Everyone,

I started exploring SAP Intelligent RPA few weeks ago and when I was configuring my trail account for SAP Intelligent RPA I was stuck at below error screen on SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory which many other developers were also facing and were posting. I searched SCN and even went through openSAP as well, this might have caused due to continuous improvements happening in this space.

To help others I would like to present step by step guide.

My Scenario:

Since I was using SCP Trail Account for WebIDE as well, I had created a new subaccount with Cloud Foundry environment for SAP iRPA.

Things Needs To be Followed:

  • Maintain Roll collections and assign IRPAAgentUser and IRPAOfficer roles to users.
  • Follow SAP Note 2802932

If still you get the below error screen then proceed with solution

Solution:

Go to your Global Account Page and click on Subaccount Assignments as shown below

The select your RPA related Subaccount -> Press Go -> Click ‘Add Service Plans’

In Next Screen in ‘Entitlements’ Drop down Select ‘Intelligent Business Process Management’ and then select ‘SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Trail’ and on the right hand side select ‘Standard’ check box and click Ok/Add Service Plans as shown below

The Final Screen should look like below and then refresh your “SAP Intelligent RPA Cloud Factory” page And voila it worked!

I hope it works for you too.

-Best Regards,

Rauf
