2019 Review: How to integrate IoT data into your Business Process

Time for a little review of 2019 what we achieved in 2019 in terms of integrating IoT data into SAP Business Processes, i.e. the SAP Business Suite:

All the functionality uses the SAP Leonardo IoT Rules Service, Action Service. You can do direct integration or integration via an integration tool like SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).

Of course, the tooling showed in the blogs is not limited to integrating to SAP systems. They are much more flexible and can be used to integrate to any application.

PS: For debugging: If you have issue and wondering why things are not working, we have since October available the “Actions and Rules Execution Log” app. It gives you a good overview what is happening in the system … and why your events might not trigger the Business Process as planned.
