Assign Supplemental To-Do Items to Dynamic Roles and Dynamic Groups in Manage Home Page
Previous to Q4-1911, any Supplemental To-Do Items created in EC used to get assigned to all users, There were no restrictions available which could be applied to only certain members based on some criteria. With the Q4-1911 release, Administrator can now assign Supplemental To-Do items to Dynamic Groups and Dynamic Roles.
Now with this new feature, it can be assigned to particular audience.
This changes can only be seen by Admin Users with RBP permissions, will be able to see the permission column.
Navigation: Manage Home Page–> To-Do Settings–>Supplemental To-Do Items–>Permissions
Before Q4-1911 release:
After Q4-1911 release: Admin Users with RBP permissions, will be able to see the permission column.
Under the Permissions column from the available drop down menu, you can select the 1 or more Dynamic roles and Dynamic groups, based on your criteria to be available for certain Users.
Conclusion: With this new feature, it can be assigned to only particular audience, this will avoid the unnecessary broadcasting of the Supplemental To-Do Items to irrelevant Users.
Limitation: The current number limitation of the drop-down menu is 100, hence it will only show first 100 roles or groups. This limitation will be lifted in next major release.
