Building Extensions for SAP C/4HANA using APIs
Hi,
Creation of cloud-first applications to extend core LoB solutions continues to be a hot topic.
SAP C/4HANA Foundation was released earlier in 2019 to make this really easy for C/4HANA customers.
If you’re not already familiar with the concepts do check out this blog by Kristin Albright.
You might be wondering where to start and exactly which technology components get used where and exactly how to fit them all together?
We’ve just published a new tutorial series covering a very simple end-to-end side-by-side extension scenario based on SAP Commerce Cloud which you can access here:
Building Extensions for SAP C/4HANA using APIs Playlist
The scenario involves automatically creating a product review when a customer purchases that product:
Tutorials cover everything from getting started to deploying the finished extension application.
Components used include API Business Hub, extension factory, C/4HANA Cockpit, Kyma and Lambda functions.
How to configure cloud providers (Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform) and create a Kyma runtime is also covered.
So whether you’ve already got a scenario in mind and want to get going or you’re simply interested in seeing exactly how to get started hopefully these videos will be of use.
You can access the tutorials directly as follows:
- Getting Started
- Configure Microsoft Azure
- Configure Google Cloud Platform
- Pair with SAP Commerce Cloud
- Create Lambda Function
- Extend Lambda Function
Code snippets used in the video tutorials are posted to GitHub
If you’re interested in becoming an early adopter check out this blog by Marco Dorn.
