Blog It Forward – Sudip Ghosh

Thanks to SAP Champion Nabheet Madan for the BIF Challenge and Thanks to Susan Keohan for starting the challenge. To be honest this challenge is a great opportunity to introduce myself (Definately other side of me :P) to Community and also it gives a pass/token to ask some interesting question which i don’t know or i am very much interested to know. It was Friday when i was drafting my another blog and got notification from a CHAMP for BIF Challenge. It was feeling like some one challenged me for WWE championship Match in the ring (Hahhaha!, just kidding, It was nothing but a privilege to get a challenge from a champion). Enough of my Bad jokes let me try to complete this.

About Me

Who doesn’t love cool technology, getting crush on technology is very simple thing for me , it distract me too much and i should admit my number of crush list is little big :P. It was 2007 when i was introduced to my first computer initially i had used it for playing different game like Project IGI, FIFA, Need For Speed and Vice City (I hope some 90’s kid will be able to relate me :P) Later C Programming which pushed me to get graduate in Computer Science & Engineering on 2014. In College days i was having interest in Penetration Testing and most of the days i used to Invest in finding loop holes & reverse Engineering in different website and application. It’s been 5+ years i am in the industry and i must admit i am enjoying thrill in my journey. Well that was my techie side lets not get into this side too much because already i have told all in my hall of fame MOM interview.

Lets talk about my other side. I am a great chef too i love cooking awesome food and I am big fan of MMA that doesn’t mean i want to fight or love to fight with some one. I love the training a MMA Fighter goes through, i love their ability and getting train with them is no harm in fact itΒ  help to reduce the weight and get fit very faster naturally. And I must be thankful to MMA which helped me to get rid of my blood pressure problem, which i had before due to bad life style.

Below are the some pictures of dessert which i have recently cooked. Mostly all are Indian Dessert (in Clockwise) 1. Ras malai 2. Dudh Pulli 3. Fruit Custard 4. Chanar payesh

Some funny story of me

In one fact i have to agree with Nabheet Madan , I also don’t like to wear formal too. Thanks to SAP where I can wear Casual and Tshirt. I want to cover some funny fact about me. These secrets are getting revealed to my all professional colleague for first time, onlyΒ  some of my school friend knows about this πŸ˜›

When i was at class sixth standard, i took responsibility for everyday to press the Door calling bell of most of the house nearby my school while coming from school (press the calling bell and run was the main Goal) πŸ˜›

My Family says i am the most laziest person it because i used to wake up at 9:00 AM and incredibly successful to maintain the consistency lol. (Now you are thinking how i attend scrum meeting every morning, I sleep with my Thinkpad at 9:00AM i just directly join scrum after wake up lol. I hope my manager is not reading this blog :P)

Champ( Nabheet Madan ) Asked …………..

What do you do apart from SAP in your free time?

It totally depends on time to be honest, i keep changing this free time utilization to not get bored. But it has be among ofΒ  Cooking food, spending time in beach and having beer, Working out in gym, writing and reading blogs, participating in Hackathon and demo jam, traveling meeting new people and exchanging cultures and ideas with them, learning non sap technology last but not least taking inspiration from all the positive people and try to make some positive changes.

Clockwise : 1. Enjoying Beer at Arabian Sea, 2. Attending Digital Ocean Tide Event, 3. Capturing Perfect sunset photo, 4. Enjoying Paragliding 5. Boxing Training πŸ˜›

2. How do you balance your life between work and family/personal time?

You asked most difficult question to me, Lets be Honest i am struggling in this space. But whenever i get time i just make sudden plan to go out have some good food or sudden travel plan with friends to make myself happy. But to be honest there is no schedule i maintain, wish i could. In this space i need advice from experience people.

3. What would you choose if given a choice between coffee or tea and why?

It’s totally depends on situation, If i am traveling somewhere i always prefer tea, if i am at Delhi then it’s famous creamy tea (malai maarke). But before workout or for example i have to work late night or work on boring topics i will have black coffee or Normal Coffee because it won’t let me sleep πŸ˜›

One of the question i would like to answer

If you were 20 again, what would you study?

Seriously if i would have been 20 i would focus on statistics and Algorithm more to be honest. I wish i could put more focus on these subject during my college days, which i am learning now to work on Machine Learning project.

Now comes the main part or i would say my hand is waiting for :P. Yes! Challenging others for BIF.

And my question would be to them

  1. What role SAP Community Play in your life? Explain it

2. What is your favorite holiday destination and why?

3. What is the craziest thing you have ever done?

You've got Ras Malai, which has always been my favorite. In my city (Rawalpindi, Pakistan), I used to go to its main market (Saddar Bazar) just to get at least two plates of the dessert. Can you please share its recipe, it's been long having enjoyed it πŸ™‚
