In less than 30 days, the countdown clock will stop ticking. On January 3, 2020 at 6:00PM Pacific Standard Time to be precise. That’s when the SAP Innovation Awards stops accepting submissions for the 2020 event.

Naturally, there’s no way of knowing whether you will be among the 20 winners for the 2020 Innovation Awards – that is, assuming you’ve already entered your submission for consideration.

Don’t Get Snapped

If you haven’t, well, I dare say IMHO that you are denying yourself out of a once-a-year chance to share your story within the Innovation Awards program, across our website, and throughout the SAP community. And if selected as a winner, you will receive a trophy and a full conference ticket to SAPPHIRE NOW, interviews with the press, an EXCLUSIVE luncheon with top SAP executives, and much more!

The possibilities are endless as a participant of the 2020 Innovation Awards. BUT – much like what Thanos did at the end of Avengers Infinity War, all of this snaps to a close and goes away if you do not enter your submission by January 3rd, 2020. That’s less than a month away!

1-2-3-4…

Is it complicated to enter your submission? Not at all.

Just follow steps 1-2-3-4 . . . it’s also your chance to do a little more.

  • Do a Self-Assessment: Though optional, we recommend you use t
his tool to check your eligibility.

  • Prepare your Pitch Deck: You can up your chances of winning by

  •  submitting a clear and compelling story – and the Pitch Deck Template is the right tool to help you do that.

  • Complete the Entry Form: This is the official entry form where you can see the rules and enter your info, and your partner’s, if applicable.

  • Submit your Entry Form: Once done with the above, you’re ready to submit your entry. Don’t forget to include your company logo, an optional participant photo (that’s you), and if applicable, the participating SAP partner logo.

That’s it! Oh, and the part about your chance to do a little more? By entering, we will contribute $100 to the charities, Blue Rose Compass and Tech for All. How’s that for paying it forward?

The Contenders

If you’re wondering if any companies have submitted their Innovation Awards entries yet, yes, quite a few already have. In fact, we are honored and humbled by the interest expressed by so many different companies. Here are a few to give you an idea of the brilliant solutions we are considering.

International courier DHL’s integrated tasking system utilizes advanced analytics to optimize fulfillment with SAP through IDEA, a warehouse management system add-on. Small orders are now grouped together onto pick carts to reduce travel distance, for example. Using IDEA, order assembly is targeted – which can make up 50% of warehouse activity – thereby significantly reducing costs, decreasing cycle time, maximizing throughput, and enhancing SAP Warehouse Management across four installs. As global manufacturing conglomerate Siemens AG prepared for the next stage of smarter management for its ever-increasing data stores, it needed a future-proof solution to enable operational excellence and deeper business insights for its SAP HANA database. After upgrading its SAP HANA data lake servers, Siemens gained access to the massive memory capacity it required to support its digital strategy and expanding use cases while lowering TCO and improving operational efficiency. Read their story. 3D scan innovator Quadrica developed the MySurvey application for industrial sites by combining 3D laser scans with other asset management data stored in SAP Asset Intelligence Network and the SAP Predictive Maintenance and Service solution. By creating a digital twin of industrial sites, Quadrica’s customers manage maintenance activities more safely and cost effectively by allowing staff to easily access site and equipment information, as well as improve efficiency and staff safety. Nearing the Point of Now or Never for #SAPInnovation Awards

I hope you don’t think I am being lazy by repeating this blog’s headline for this section. But it bears repeating. I also hope the above examples have inspired you to enter your own story to the 2020 Innovation Awards because your submission may very well inspire us and other SAP customers. And January 3rd, 2020 is the final deadline to do just that. The clock is ticking!
