The current Customer Connection Program for SAP Identity Management 8.0 clearly resonated with our customers - thank you all for participating and helping us improve our product! We received nearly 150 requests from all over the globe, 78 of which exceeded the threshold of 10 supporting votes, qualifying for assessment by SAP.

The IDM development team evaluated all 78 requests, and on April 3, we communicated our decisions. In 2020, SAP will tackle 12 requests, with several more in the pipeline for 2021.

For a number of requests, we can offer workaround or alternaitve solutions. Some are offered by partners, as part of a consulting service, or on the open GitHub hosted by DSAG. This platform contains detailed solution proposals for some of the proposals entered in the Customer Connection project. You can benefit from the solutions posted here, and contribute your own content.

If you missed the selection call on April 3, you can listen to the recording and check out the slides on the Customer Influnence Platform.

We'll keep blogging about our progress and roll out solutions as they become available, so stay tuned and make sure you visit the IDM community frequently.

The final delivery call is planned for late November / early December.

About SAP Customer Connection

SAP Customer Connection offers projects with a fixed product scope and timeline. Customers can submit improvement requests for SAP products in mainstream maintenance. The SAP team will consider requests with a minimum of 10 supporting customers (by votes), and deliver accepted requests via SAP Notes and Support Packages.

Use this opportunity to influence our identity management solution and request functionality you have been waiting for, or support others with your votes.

The program was open for submissions from January 15 - March 2. You can view requests on the  SAP Influence Platform.
