Changes to LTMC
Dear SAP Friends,
Welcome to another interesting topic “Changes to LTMC” in SAP S/4 HANA 1909 Version.
When I Started exploring 1909 HANA I started finding many changes like Cosmetic, Screen layout and etc..
If you are new to LTMC and its Steps then refer
1. LTMC for Material Master:- https://blogs.sap.com/2019/04/26/ltmc-for-master-data-step-by-step-process/
2. LTMC for Business partner (Supplier) :- https://blogs.sap.com/2019/07/14/ltmc-bp-supplier-step-by-step-process/
So I will be sharing with you all the changes which I found only Sceen changes noting related to process in 1909 when compared to 1809
In this Blog will see about LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit)
The first and most important change is
1809 Version | 1909 Version |
Migration Objects – 69 | Migration Objects – 85 |
When every new version releases new Migration objects are being introduced now with the latest version of 1909 we have 85 Migration Objects
Screen layout changes
In 1809 once we start transferring file we see below screen
When it comes to 1909 screen layout and look and feel looks very interactive with Status of Project
In 1809 Options / Switches are placed in Top Left corner
When it comes to 1909 Options / Switches are shifted to the bottom right side
like other Fiori Apps, Look carefully because we are familiar with top left side from past 3 versions/years
In 1809 we have Table Selection menu in Mapping Values Steps as shown below
when it comes to 1909 we don’t have that if you click blank space all line items will get selected or unselected
SAP might think to reduce one step ?by removing selection option
Above Stated are my observations, Please share observation which you have identified in LTMC
Please share, Like and Comment anything else you want to share or add points.
Thanks & Regards

Hello Ruthvik,
Thanks for sharing, but still not able to understand the difference between 1809 and 1909 in point of LTMC as we can see same screens while uploading files ( Data validation in progress ). kindly explain us in better way.
Hi venu gopal
Data Validation and all Steps like
A. Upload File
B. Activate
C. Start Transfer
D. Data Validate
E. Convert values
F. Simulate
G. Execute Import
Remain same but they are Screen changes like Screen options from left top to right bottom
Status pop up in left bottom once see blog clearly.
Or else experience by your self by comparing 1809 and 1909
as I'm following HANA from 1610 onwards i can feel minute changes also 😛
Thanks for sharing but your screen shots are not clear , hence can't understand / see the correct changes which you mean to say , but if you ask me I don't see any changes in LTMC .

Hi Ruthvik
Just now we upgraded from 1809 to 1909 on primse. I read some document that from 1909 the LTMC would be migrated to Fiori App. But when i execute i could not the differences as Fiori. More over when i checked the url it shows only webdynpro component only. Still its not migrated to Fiori?. We have upgraded to very lasest pacakge so its not possible we could not get that.
I am right or wrong in this point?. Can you throw some light on this.
Thanks and Regards
Vijay
Hi Vijayakumar Mukunthan
Not that's not true still LTMC is a Webdynpro only it's not migrated to Fiori in 1909 SAP has introduced Direct Transfer Method that's the new change to LTMC
Hi Ruthvik,
is there a way to trace the log files for source XML file whose data is already loaded successfully ?
I have observed that for successful conversion load, there is no provision to go back and check the log files. It would have been helpful to check/ trace back the documents posted for particular Source XML file.
Got the answer to it
