This article will go through how to create a handling unit with different materials in it. I will explain how to pack different materials in different handling units into the new handling unit.
At the beginning, initial physical stock is shown as below. As you can see, the storage type has two different handling unit (which are pallets), with two different material.
I want to create a new pallet and put these two different material in it.
STEP 1: Creating a new handling unit
Go to the transaction /SCWM/RFUI. Select “Outbound Processes”.
Select “Pick Point”.
Select “Creation of Single Handling Unit”.
Type the work center and hit enter.
Type packing material and destination bin. Click save.
Handling unit created with a unique number.
STEP 2: Moving different materials into the new handling unit
Press F7 to go back to the main menu screen. Select “Outbound Processes”.
Select “Packing”.
To see other options, click “v” button.
Select “Manually Re-Pack Handling Unit Item”.
Type the number of the source handling unit. (Pallet number at which the material is located)
Type the material number that you want to remove from the handling unit. Hit enter.
(The material number that you want to move to the new handling unit.)
Type the quantity that you want to move and destination handling unit.
Type exception code “SPLT”. Hit enter.
Hit enter.
Type the number of the source handling unit.
Type the material number that you want to move to the new handling unit.
Type the quantity that you want to move and destination handling unit.
Type exception code “SPLT”. Hit enter.
Hit enter.
Go to the transaction /SCWM/MON – Stock and Bin – Physical Stock to see the changes.
