How to Create New Accounts from Account Value Help Selection in Cloud for Customer

Cloud for Customer (C4C) supports the creation of new accounts directly from the account value help selection with release 19.11. In case a search result does not return any account, the user can create a new account directly from this value help. The newly created account will then be automatically assigned to the corresponding business object, such as Lead, Opportunity, or Sales Quote.

To activate this feature a key user needs to adapt the user interface. Once this is configured in one business object, the feature shows up in all account value selections. 

This example shows the user interface adaptation in the Lead object. Open the Lead quick create window and start the adaptation mode:

Open the account search value selection:

Click first at the pencil on the Cancel button (1) and then twice at the back arrow (2):

Drill down into the button group:

Enable the required buttons as usual: Click on Personalize and remove Hide flag. Action will show up once Adaptation mode closes.

  • Thank you very much for the information. But it is a very little intuitive way to do it. The hidden buttons should be displayed in the main window when you adapt it, in order to everybody could see what is available for adding into this window.

    A wiki is needed for adding a button. This talk about how little intuitive it is.

  • Please note: currently it seems to be only possible to finally display the buttons, when you enable “Personalize” and then deactivate the “Hide” option (these options appear after the last screenshot in the blog: when you try to enable the required buttons as usual)
