With 200+ Early Talents, the Early Talent Summit made a grand comeback on 16th October 2019 at Golden Amoon Resort & Spa

The Cross Generational Intelligence pillar of SAP Diversity & Inclusion team has been organizing yearly summit for Early Talents joining SAP for the last few years. With last year's summit being a success and bar set high, this year we turned up the heat and the summit was on fire! (literally)

You can catch a glimpse of the day here

The day started with enthused early talents arriving at the resort from 8 am, where they were greeted by the SAP Global Early Talent Ambassador India team for the registrations, given hand-bands for the resort and the event, and the day's agenda handout that captured the event's overview
The event kicked off with welcome-note by Vice President of Digital Supply Chain and Diversity & Inclusion Lead, Mayank Bhatnagar. He spoke about collaboration being SAP's primary focus and how innovative solutions are nurtured from different thought processes. Being inclusive reflects in the products we build helping us reach out to our customers better. Next, sharing some personal experiences, Shraddanjali Rao, Vice President of Human Resources, delivered the key-note. Dream big and be different; finding passion might not always be easy but once you have, follow it, she said. And gave the mantra of POWER to the early talents
With that, we moved onto our first activity of the day – The Food Truck Challenge. The key learning from this activity was to build an end-to-end solution – be it building the food truck, deciding the dishes, or marketing. The challenge inspired thought leadership, creativity, and collaboration. It was nice to see the participants come up with ideas in such short time and ace it
On concluding that, the next activity was The Big Picture. The primary focus was on how everything we do matters and eventually adds up to the product that we want to offer to our customers. The participants were shown an image and parts of it had been distributed to the groups. The task was to ensure after they were done, their piece of artwork fits into the puzzle perfectly. Well, the end product was picture prefect!
The final product was revealed by Srikanth Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Digital Connected Assets and Vice President of IoT Digital Connected Assets. He reiterated that what we do counts. Focusing on our strengths overshadows our weaknesses. It is of utmost importance to keep learning
The final activity was The Fire Walk. The takeaway from this event was to overcome our fears in order to face challenges and be able to innovate. There was some initial hesitation but after the first few walks, we saw participants coming back for multiple tries. Of course safety precautions were also in place! The day was concluded with a yummy dinner and some dancing!
Of the 200+ ETs participating in the summit, 96% rated the event 4+ out of 5, and they shared some great feedback. All in all, it was a great day where our ETs got to hone some great skills and network, which can further be used to help us Run Better.
