WKS: Requirement Document Scheduling or “How do I fill times in intermediate Freight Unit stops””
The times in freight units are typically coming from the underlying predecessor TRQ, so in the end e.g. from the Sales Orders, Deliveries etc. This holds specifically true for the first and last stop of the freight unit. But if e.g. a default route is applied there are more stops in the freight unit, the cross-docking/transshipment locations for the Freight Unit. The challenge is now how to fill the times in that intermediate stops of the Freight Unit.
And here the “Requirement Document Scheduling” comes to the rescue. Basically the idea is to schedule the requirement document (Freight Unit, but could also be a Container Unit, Package Unit etc.) in a way that it is scheduled like a Freight Order.
To activate this function, activate the Distance and Duration Determination for the document type as shown in the screenshot below.
As a result the freight unit should be scheduled every time the TRQ-times or the routing changes.
