Changing your Language Settings in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Please note this blog post is featured in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Identity Access Management – Your Knowledge Base

Introduction

When you launch your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system for the first time, you may want to change your language settings. Previously, this used to be a bit tricky either by changing your browser language settings or by modifying the URL parameter sap-language. Please note that starting with the 2005 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud there have been significant changes being introduced for the SAP Fiori Launchpad including SAP Fiori Spaces and Pages. In this blog post, we will see how to change your language settings.

Changing the Language Settings

  • Click on the Me Icon on the top right of your SAP Fiori Launchpad and select Settings

  • Navigate to the section Language & Region and select your preferred language

Conclusion

Please note that the other settings (date and time format) currently still need to be changed by the system administrator centrally in the app Maintain Business Users. For other useful settings for your SAP Fiori Launchpad, you should check out the User Experience section in openSAP Microlearning.
