What was the DOTA 2 Data Hero Insights Challenge about?
During this challenge, participants had the opportunity to analyze in-game activity and glean insights into the techniques used by professional players, based on patterns in the data and gameplay. Using intelligent technologies from SAP (such as SAP Cloud Platform, advanced analytics, data visualization, in-app design, and cloud app development), participants were able to visualize these insights and try them out in real-time.
Sounds great! What happened?
We had an amazing turnout and learning experiences at the event! With live demos of SAP Analytics Cloud, a Design Thinking workshop, participants were jam-packed with knowledge. Additionally, Dunn Solutions, the Best North American application winner of the online virtual hackathon, demonstrated their application for the audience. After four hours of hacking, one team came out with a winning solution!
Team Solid created a dashboard analyzing Team Liquid’s gameplay strategy, determining what the winning strategies are using SAP Analytics Cloud.
A big congratulations to our winners who SAP donated $10,000 USD on behalf of TechGirlz. Team Solid chose to donate to TechGirlz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the gender gap in technology occupations, by focusing on girls at the crucial middle school age.
