Good to Know How to create a new Sales Cycles and Phases in C4C

Hello everyone,

In this blog post, I explain how to create a new sales cycle and assign sales phrases. With this explanation, you can create as many sales cycles as you need in your business.

To make it easier to understand i will split the blog in three parts:

Part One: Define a new Sales Cycle
Part Two: Assign new Phases
Part Three: Create new activities for each new phase

Now, let’s start…

Part One: Define a new Sales Cycle: Follow these steps like show in the pictures.

Business Configuration (1) à Implementation Project (2) à Open Activity List (3) and choose on Sales Cycles and Phases. (4)

Then you can maintain analysis phases (5, 6, 7)

Part Two: Assign new Phases

In the Sales Cycles and Phases, choose Maintain Sales Phases and define the new Sales Cycle. (2.1, 2.2, 2.3)

In these steps, you´ll see the new Sales Cycles and Phase in the Opportunity.

However, you will not see the activities. This is the last step.

Part Three: Create new activities for each new phase

  1. Business Configuration (1) à Implementation Project (2) à Open Activity List (3) and choose on Sales Assistant

The sequence is the same as in the first step. Simply change the choice of Sales Assistant. Check the next picture.

2. Select Maintain Activities and add the new activities required. In addition, save and close.

3. Then Select Assignment of Activities to Sales Phases for assign your activities to your sales         phases that belong to certain sales cycles.

4. Finally translate all the activities in the language you need and see how it looks in the sales activities of the opportunity.

In conclusion, if you follow these steps, you can perform a sales cycle with different phases and activities that differ from the standard sales cycle. This way you can adapt your business to your current need.

Some tricks:

  1. When adding a new Sales Phase and not seeing it, please refresh the page or out and in.
  2. Remember to configure in English and make the translation then.
  3. If you do not see the Sales Cycle field in the opportunity, add it from the Adapt mode

I hope this is useful for you and see you in the next blog.

    Thanks for the blog.

I would like to know if any custom statuses can be added for Sales Quotes in C4C ?

In business configuration I couldn’t find any options to add a custom status for quotes.
