This week, we have the pleasure of sharing the story of a young group of employees from the SAP Dubai office, who have made it their mission to combine their talent, time and passion to achieve great impact through the power of volunteering! Their journey over the past two years has been remarkable - learn more about SAP Cares, their motivation and some of their amazing volunteer events below!

In late 2017, a group of young SAP employees from the Early Talent Community in Dubai saw an opportunity to bring positive change to the office and to engage its employees. It was immediately clear that the early talent in Dubai were filled with strong qualities & passion. We understood that the best way to have the highest impact from these young talent’s passions was to create mini teams, each with its own strengths and purpose. A design thinking session was held to ideate the best mini teams. 4 mini teams were formed, SAPBeat for those who have the passion for Sports, Health/Fitness and Social/Fun Activities! Luminous to enlighten with Informative & Knowledgeable sessions. ET BWN supporting Women Empowerment and finally through a strong passion for Community Service, Sustainability, and Environmental causes, it was there that SAP Cares was born!

SAP Cares started with 3 members and one humble event in Dubai. Very quickly we discovered that the office was filled with eager volunteers with limitless passion to see positive change in the local and global community. Today SAP Cares has grown to over 20 core members, regular executive involvement and the volunteers reaching over a hundred. The events cover a wide scope of topics from blood donations, gifts for children, supporting local orphanages, being part of local cultures and environmental awareness sessions. With more amazing events in the pipeline for 2019 and beyond, this is only the beginning! Take a look at some of our events below 🙂
