Today I would like to bring your attention to one of SAP’s multiple tools that can be used to stay up to date with your favorite SAP products. SAP customers can use the SAP Improvement Finder tool to search for enhancements made and delivered by the SAP Customer Connection projects. It is an easy to use and intuitive tool, with filters available to narrow down your search, for example, by topic or by release date. It is quite accessible, as all SAP customers can access the tool and the SAP notes attached to each improvement. As a small demonstration, let’s check out some of the new “Customer Connection” improvements delivered for SAP Extended Warehouse Management in 2019.

To begin, we first need to access the tool itself at sapimprovementfinder.com. On the main page, we can see a search bar and some search filtering options on the left-hand and on the right, we have different Lines of Business categories. We click on “Digital Supply Chain” in order to expand this option.

On this expanded list, we scroll down until we find “SAP Extended Warehouse Management (2019)”. It is important to note that “SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)” contains improvements and notes only up to March 2018. The improvements coming as a result of the most recent Customer Connection program are contained in the sub-category highlighted in the picture below.

To find all the recent improvements and fixes for SAP EWM, we must click on “SAP Extended Warehouse Management (2019)” in order to do another list expansion, as shown below. This will show a list of all currently delivered improvements.

Finally, you can click on each title to open another window which provides more details about the improvement in question. Specifically, you can see the full description of the improvement request, the improvement request number, the release date of the improvement, and the link to the note delivered at the time of the improvement’s release date. The tool even provides the option to translate the improvement description directly in the opened window.

The note, which you can open and download via the link highlighted above, provides even more details about how to implement the improvement, on which versions of EWM and S/4HANA core the improvements can be implemented and what are its benefits, among other things.

You can find out more on how to use this tool by accessing the “User Manual” provided in the top-right corner of the screen.

We hope this tool will serve you well, and don’t forget to check SAP’s EWM Community page for all the latest and greatest in Warehousing Management. I wish you all a pleasant week ahead!
