Creating Calculated Key Figures
Hello!
This blog post is going to show you a bit more about calculated key figures. I have written about data operators that can be used while creating those key figures and they can be found on the blog posts below:

Creating Calculated Key Figures
In order to create calculate key figures, please follow with the steps below:
- Go to Business Analytics work center and Design Key Figures view;
- Click on New button;
- Type a name;
- Select a data source;
- Type: Calculated Key Figure;
- Click on Next button;
- In the 2nd step of your key figure creation, you will have on the left side of your screen a list with the available key figures that can be used for building a new one. Double click on the needed existent key figure and you will see that it has been added into the formula label, located in the center of the screen;
- Use the aforementioned blog posts in order to choose the proper operators to build a formula/function in the formula label;
- Repeat the steps 8 and 9 until your formula label is complete with the information you need;
- Click on Next button;
- In the 3rd step (key figure properties), you will have few options that are listed after this steps;
- Define the needed properties to achieve your business goals;
- Click on Next button;
- Review your key figure;
- Click on Finish button.

Common Calculated Key Figures Questions/Issues
- 2768977 – Calculated key figure formula does not work.
- 2579377 – Cannot use Characteristic to Create Calculated Key Figure
- 1862299 – Create new calculated Key Figure using Boolean conditions
- 1967299 – How to Show a Calculated Key Figure in Percent
- 1859568 – Error While Adding Key Figure to the Report
- 2799937 – Result Row in Report Shows Wrong Total When Condition / Value Filter is Active
- 2579697 – How to Remove the Unit of Measure/Currency Sign from Key Figure

Thanks for coming out with a neat sequence.
I want to know whether it is possible to copy and existing key figure (restricted) and modify to create a new restricted key figure? More details:
There is a group key figure Earned Profit Overview for KPI; which can tell us the cost of goods sold
Need to reckon another restricted key figure 'Selling General and Administrative Expenses' by aggregating a few other G/L codes
