Tracking the OData Services triggered from Ariba to S/4HANA Cloud System

Introduction

This blog details the steps that need to be performed to track the specific OData services, which are triggered when a document is created in a front-end application like Ariba. Here, we consider the scenario for creating a Purchase Requisition from Ariba end.

Steps:

1. Execute transaction SICF, and then click Edit->Recorder->Activate Recording to switch on Recorder.

Note: Recording can be activated for specific services or user id.

2. Create the Purchase Requisition in Ariba application front-end.

3. Deactivate the recording in the backend by going to Edit->Recorder->Deactivate Recording.

4. In the backend, choose Edit->Recorder->Display Recording to display the recorded Odata services.

Specify any filter criterial and click Execute (F8)

The recorded OData service is registered as below:

You can double click on the service to get more details for further analysis.

      Hello Mamatha,

Here in screen prints, it show S4 Hana back end.

is this related to s4 Hana on premise of private cloud hosting because S4 Hana public cloud do not give access to back end ?

is the same method used for public cloud s4 Hana or there are other methods used for O data services ?

      Regards

      Vijay
