How partners selling SAP Business ByDesign can help customers roll out a 2-Tier strategy
Partners offering SAP Business ByDesign can really connect with customers looking to roll out a 2-Tier solution.
Our teams have increasingly found themselves having the same conversation with a certain type of potential customer.
“Our hands are tied” they say, “we have been told we have to wait until our parent company rolls out their on premise solution. Then we get our turn.”
These are frustrated people. They know what they need to become more efficient and get the job done and they want to get on with it, but they are being told they are in a queue.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
There is a solution to the conundrum which should keep both sides happy. By utilising SAP’s Business ByDesign – with its natural affinity with subsidiaries – the smaller company can get their hands on the efficiencies they want from an ERP now and they can do it more quickly and at a lower cost. In fact research from the United Vars network has discovered that putting in ByDesign results in just 30% of the costs compared to an on-premise solution and can be put in 3 times quicker than extending an on premise solution to include a subsidiary.
The 2-Tier Strategy has been embraced by SAP and is being actively promoted by the United Vars group of SAP partners.
So what is a 2-Tier strategy and how can you use that idea to delight your SAP customers? They will need to put forward a case to their parent company, so they need facts to hand. They may want to go live with SAP Business ByDesign and stay there or they may want to use this as a temporary measure – something to bridge the wait – which could be several years.
Either way we think other partners could benefit from digging into the idea. Our Managing Director Bob Atkinson has produced a webinar guide which is available on demand via You Tube – you can find it here –
