Steps to Enable ASK HR and Renaming the ASK HR Application in Employee Central

In this blog post I have created the steps in how to Enable ASK HR application and renaming the ASK HR application to customer provided name.

 Renaming the Application ASK HR

Login to your SuccesFactors instance, search and click Manage Data.

On the Manage Data page, select the ServiceCenterLocalizationBean.

Enter the new name for the application, based on the languages supported.

Click Save to save your changes.

Enabling ASK HR in Employee Central

  1. Select Enable Service Center Add-On, then enter the target URL to the consumption Cloud Portal default site URL.Employee Central hover over the ASK HR. You will see the link displayed. Copy the link and go to

In provisioning ->Click Select Company Settings

2.Log on to SuccessFactors Provisioning.

Select ->Company->Company Settings->Web Service.

Make sure the flag for Disable OData API is empty.

3. Authorization for the Extensions link using Role-Based Permissions – You must have Company System and Logo Settings permission. This is because the “theming” feature has the same role-based permission. To do this, in your Employee Central instance log in as an admin user and go to Admin Tools Manage Permission -RolesPermissions->Manage System Properties->Company System and Logo Settings
