UI5con 2019 @ Bangalore, a tech meetup took place on the 4th of July in India at SAP Labs Campus, organized by TI SAP Cloud Platform UI P&S and UI Core Services (SE) in collaboration with SAP Labs India MD’s office Innovation@SAP initiative and devX meetup.


It brought together 400+ ‘UI5’ers sharing knowledge and networking with each other. It was received very well by everyone in all aspects and had a great response!


Here is a summary

UI5con: A common platform for the community of UI5 developers and enthusiasts to meet face-to-face and discuss the latest innovations of the framework.


Tremendous turnout: Overall, we had more than 400+ participants who made it to the event for sharing and discussing everything about UI5. The day started with an early registration at 8 AM followed by Welcome note and Keynote. The auditorium was almost full for a Welcome & Keynote by Mitesh Shah, VP of SAP CP UI Product and Services and Stefan Beck, CPO, UI5 & Peter Muessig, Lead Architect, UI5. In their keynote, they talked on UI5 Evolution and UI5 Web components. The keynote was very well received, and followed by Q&A.

Tracks/Sessions


The event comprised of 28 sessions in 3 tracks and 2 Booths The sessions were mainly focused on the latest innovations of UI5 from SAP. There was enough for everyone. From developers, who are new to UI5 as a technology, to UI5 experts, there were sessions regaling everyone. Agenda cards were handed over to all participants which made it easy for them to plan their day and the event app had it all where the participants could build an agenda.

At around 1 PM, a delicious lunch was served, and it was also a good time for participants to network with each other and to discuss more about UI5, latest innovations etc. It was a good networking opportunity for everyone.



Closing ceremony


The event came to a close at 4.00 PM, followed by Networking and Hi-Tea. Special Thanks to all the Organizers, Evangelists and Volunteers who helped to drive this event so smoothly and made it a success. It had taken a great amount of hard work which remains hidden. We would also like to thank SAP Labs India IT team who helped us to make this event successful and hassle free by providing all the required support.
