SAP Cloud SDK: New Format of the Update Call for SAP Community

In 2018, we have started the update call series for SAP partners interested in getting news on SAP S/4HANA extensibility and in the SAP Cloud SDK used for the side-by-side extensibility, in particular.

Due to the interest to the topic within and outside of the SAP partner community, we change the format of the call series and starting from July 2019, the episodes of the call are available to the broader community. Everyone can register for the upcoming update calls using the following link. The topic and the agenda of the upcoming call of the series are published in the SAP Community Calls List. The SAP Community Calls List also references the recordings of the previous sessions, which are published on Youtube.

Since December 2018, we have introduced some significant extensions to the SAP Cloud SDK functionality:

Due to this extension of the SDK functionality, we are covering the broader range of topics in those calls going beyond the SAP S/4HANA extensibility.

In each call, we give you updates on the latest releases of the SAP Cloud SDK, its roadmap, and topics around extensibility of SAP Business Suite, SAP S/4HANA, but also other SAP offerings using SAP Cloud Platform. We also cover the technical integration of the SAP Cloud SDK with other SAP tools, such as SAP Extension Factory and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model.

The call series is conducted by SAP Cloud SDK development and product management team together with SAP internal and external speakers.

In the first instance of the call series, which takes place on 2. July 2019 at 8am PT (17.00 CET), we introduce SAP Cloud SDK (formerly known as SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK), cover its latest updates since May 2019, and dive deeper into the features of the SAP Cloud SDK that can be used for cloud-native application development on SAP Cloud Platform.

You can follow the updates in the SAP Community Calls List, where topics and agenda for the next calls of the series are published.

Thanks for this and a really great idea to spread to the wider SAP Community. Here in the Asia Pacific though the times are not really convenient (for maximum attendance). 1-2am in the morning here in Melbourne.

Is there a possibility to run more than 1 call whereby a more suitable time is selected? I have signed up but this is a tough time to attend.

      Thanks

      Hi Phil,

first of all, thanks for your feedback! Sorry, that we could not offer convenient time for the live sessions for your region for now.

We will discuss possible options for the future and update you in case live sessions for the SDK will be conducted in the suitable time in your region.

Anyways, all the SAP Community sessions are recorded and will be available via SAP Community YouTube channel, where you can also put your questions (see the links provided in this blog post). Also, our team is monitoring StackOverflow community (sap-cloud-sdk tag) for more technical questions / feature requests.

      Best regards,

      Ekaterina

Thanks Ekaterina Kruse and appreciate you looking into possible options of scheduling another call that is at a more suitable timeslot for us over in the Southern hemisphere. 🙂

Will look up the SAP Community Youtube channel so I can cover this in the next SAP Tech Night here in Melbourne.

      Kind Regards
