Disclosure Management – Linked Images

Since Disclosure Management Stack 1400 (see this blog ) there is a new way of embedding graphs/charts in Word reports. This replaces the ‘old’ way of using embedded OLE objects.

Within the Disclosure Management client, there is a new option called “Linked Image”

This Wiki explains the necessary steps for setting this up.

      Excellent wiki Marc.

In the pdf of the wiki it says that in power point chapters linked images can also be done. But I don´t find the option of Linked images in power point.

Is there a special way to do this? Or in power point is as traditional: inserting a excel object and creating the chart?

      Hi Maria,

The method for PowerPoint is slightly different. (I will ask Marc to update the wiki when he returns from vacation)

      Steps are as follows:

      1. Preparation: Create a simple blank image. (open Paint application and create a small blank .png file)
      2. Open a PowerPoint chapter
      3. Click on Insert --> Pictures
      4. Insert any image or the image created from step 1
      5. Click inside the Image
      6. Go to The SAP Disclosure Management Menu (Start if required to get the DM Addin Menus)
      7. Select  Manage Datalinks
      8. Select  New and connect to your datasource
      9. Select the BIPLI_ Range with your Image/Chart
      10. Click Ok
