I am trying to summarize SAP lighthouse apps for EAM users (Maintenance management) on single plate form so that Maintenance management solutions available in SAP Fiori Lighthouse would be available to maintenance Business users & consultants and to provide end to end clarity about Light house application Functionality.
SAP Light House Scenarios are Application of SAP’s UX (User Experience ) approach to improve Business interaction and Improve productivity.
These apps are an SAP GUI for HTML transaction. These transactions are available in the SAP Fiori theme to support a seamless user experience across the SAP Fiori launchpad.

SAP Fiori 2.0 is the leading design for all SAP applications, providing a harmonized user experience across on-premise and cloud solutions. The visual theme, named Belize comes in light and dark flavors. The central and role-based entry point for all apps, including SAP GUI for HTML transactions, is the SAP Fiori launchpad.

High Level Scope and Features

  • View the number of effective breakdowns
  • View effective time between repair and effective time to repair, as well as mean time between repair and mean time to repair for every breakdown or repair activity
  • Filter breakdowns based on various criteria, such as object type or planning plant
  • View leading notifications and perform any drill down as needed Identify the possible functional location where an equipment has failed
  • Drill down to various dimensions, such as maintenance notification, maintenance order, or technical object to get detailed information about the repair work performed

  • Easy search to identify the affected technical object
  • Relevant information (e.g. technical object, location, effect on safety or environmental compliance, detailed description) can be entered Support to plan the repair work:
  • Gather information about the affected technical object and any repair work that has been recently carried out, search for the required spare parts and checking if they are in stock, as well as assign the work centers involved. Once you’ve finished the repair work, you can provide information about the malfunction and the job, confirm your job, and close the malfunction report
  • Execute, document, and confirm the repair work:
  • Get a quick overview of all the malfunction reports or of all work items assigned to you and their current status
  • Personalize the list of reports, view the status of the jobs, and navigate to the job details. Start working on the jobs assigned to you and confirm them

      Hi Satyendra Thanks for promoting the Fiori lighthouse scenarios.

      One point: I'm a little confused by your statement " These apps are an SAP GUI for HTML transaction. These transactions are available in the SAP Fiori theme to support a seamless user experience across the SAP Fiori launchpad"

      Actually all of the SAP Fiori lighthouse scenarios are *true* SAP Fiori apps written with SAPUI5 technology.  Lighthouse apps are *not* SAP GUI for HTML.

      Just to clarify, while we do certainly support some GUI for HTML transactions (with the Fiori Visual Theme applied) in the same business role, these are existing transactions and are not considered part of the Fiori lighthouse apps.

      Thanks for the clarification Jocelyn, I was also confused with that comment.

      But, honestly, for me is not yet clear what differentiates a FIORI Lighthouse app from a "regular" FIORI App. Could you please describe the major diferences?

      Hi Cristian,

      Fiori Lighthouse paths are simply a selected list of best of the best apps for certain business roles that show the new value SAP S/4HANA (Cloud or on premise) is bringing to customers. Apps that bring new possibilities that could not be achieved in ERP.

      The aim is for these to be used as a starting point for discussion with business stakeholders re innovation and the new value that they can take advantage of with S/4HANA.

      So for example:

      In each version of SAP S/4HANA we have introduced new process options, such as Demand Driven MRP, Group Reporting in Finance, Central Procurement, Predictive Maintenance, etc.

      in 1610 and 1709 we introduced Overview Pages

      In 1808/1809 we introduced a number of Machine Learning scenarios

      In 1908/1909 we have introduced a number of Robotic Process Automation scenarios.
