Quick Tip: Use a friendly user ID instead of S-user ID

Are you fed up of remembering your S-user ID like me?

There is a hidden secret which allows you to use a friendly user name instead of S-user ID.

Go here. Log in with your S-user for one last time :-).

Under ‘Personal Information’, hit ‘Edit’. Provide a new ‘Login Name’. What more, you can even provide a space in it. Hit ‘Save’.

Now forget your S-user, you can always use your ‘Login Name’.

Krishna, do you know if this works for the login to SAPCommunity only?

or does it work for the other logins as well e.g.

I just want to be sure before I finally wipe all of my S-IDs out of my brain

Hi Christian,

I tested with SAP Community, SAP WebIDE, Support Launchpad (I guess download center is part of it).

All worked good. It should work for SAPJam as well as it uses SAP IDM for authentication.
