Bill of Materials. An accurate collection of components, capacity, and processes that add up to a brand new product having it’s own qualities and characteristics. There are BoMs that never change like a secret recipe that runs in the family, others are more dynamic; raw materials may change and ideas for improvements may raise. For the latter, SAP Business One provides the “Bill of Materials - Component Management” functionality, allowing you to add, delete, and make other changes in BoM components. But this is not it. Although named “Component Management” this functionality enables you to make changes in the BoM header as well:
Changes made in price list, distribution rule, and project can also be applied to the BoM lines. Once done, click OK to open the “Bill of Materials - Component Management - Change Header Preview” where you can review the expected implications of the defined changes on the BoM.
