SAPPHIRE NOW 2019 was a great success for SAP Intelligent Asset Management and gave us a chance to share our showcases and get involved in lively customer discussions.
Digital Supply Chain President Hala Zeine, together with Bill Driegert, Director of Uber Freight, gave a speech entitled Design-to-Operate with a Future-Ready Digital Supply Chain. They outlined how the digitalization of the supply chain helps drive innovations, build new revenue streams and create reimagined business models.
In the Operate area, as part of the Design-to-Operate Showcase, we presented the SAP Intelligent Asset Management solutions with the EVOMIXX Mixer, a mixing machine that produces liquids based on individualized recipes.
Together with our partners Hilscher, E+H, Evoguard, IFM, Krones and Beckhoff, we presented an end-to-end process for Asset Management.
Our presentations Increase Business Potential with Asset Networks and Optimize Asset Performance Management and Maintenance Strategies gave the visitors a deep insight into the massive potential of the SAP Intelligent Asset Management solutions
Urs Gehrig, Senior Consultant from Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), presented how SAP Intelligent Asset Management has enabled the realization of important goals such as optimization of maintenance strategy, operational excellence, real-time access to information and prediction of potential operational problems. Co-presenter Matthew Easlea, Chief Strategy Officer of SAP Intelligent Asset Management, stated that this was the best SAPPHIRE he has ever attended. The interest from the customers was overwhelming with much traffic at our exhibits.
One of the highlights on the ASUG side of SAPPHIRE NOW 2019 was a presentation given by Dan Greenwood, Asset Management Consultant from CenterPoint Energy, entitled CenterPoint’s Insight-to-Action development with SAP Predictive Maintenance and Service. CenterPoint Energy is an electric and natural gas utility operating in 40 of the 50 states in the United States with over 7 million customers. After an introduction into SAP Predictive Maintenance and Service by Oliver Mainka, SAP Product Manager, Dan explained how they applied the solution to underground residential distribution (URD) equipment in order to shift an historically reactive asset and outage management approach to a more proactive, predictable, and efficient process for managing O&M and capital. He summarized by outlining the lessons learned, benefits gained and the outlook for the future with SAP Intelligent Asset Management.
