What’s New in HANA 2.0 SPS04: Calculation View Modeling #SAP Webcast Recap
This webcast was from the SAP HANA International Focus Group yesterday
Modeling is a plug in in this framework
SAP Web IDE – development and deployment are different
Notes are in the lower bottom
Only support graphical views
Old artifacts do not change
Can still use HANA Studio development and Web IDE at the same time
Have time to evaluate environment
Define at modeling time to parallelize
Not do for every model, and parallelization requires more resources
Ranking features; can be in depth
Influencing run time; session context is enriched
Example – if temp is cold, old data is accessed; if new then new data is accessed
Anonymization of data
Shortest span of hierarchy with span tree
Temporal hierarchies (similar to BW modeling)
Isolated container, move from on-premise to cloud, ensure all dependencies are fulfilled
Question and Answer
Q: Can we still use HANA Studio?
A: yes, you can use Studio. However, you can only create Calculation Views based on the HANA 1 SPS12 feature scope they are created in the classic HANA repository, not part of HDI-based design-time artefacts.
Q: Does k-Anonymity mean k-means cluster?
A: No not really, anonymizing with an internal algorithm called k-Anonymity.
Note: I could not take notes on the 60+ slides, but they are posted here along with the replay
We upgraded our XSA WEBIDE to SP04 Patch8. But still, we don't see Fuzzy search or Session variable option Calview parameters? Are we missing something?
Hi Anil - I don't know; I recommend asking this question at answers.sap.com
