A SAPPHIRENOW, I had the opportunity to drop in on the folks at Movilitas, a leading implementer of SAP solutions for life sciences, automotive, and a range of other industries – all with a focus on the digital supply chain. I spoke with Greg McCullum, Director of Digital Manufacturing who told me that the company focuses on digital manufacturing, mobility, warehouse management, and track and trace. “And we’re 100% SAP,” he adds.

What does this mean, exactly? It means that implementations are executed with standard SAP code – which minimizes the complexities that can occur with customizations and ensures that customers are in the best position to always benefit from upgrades as they’re issued.

With more than 20 years under its belt and more than 250 people in offices across North America, Europe, and South Asia, Movilitas enjoys a solid reputation in the industry and thrives on referrals – which speak volumes about the level of customer satisfaction the firm has achieved.

Best day ever

I asked Greg what was the best day ever at Movilitas – and he had a telling response. In Greg’s opinion, the best day happened recently, when the firm completed a charity drive. The program was a month-long challenge for the people at Movilitas to earn points for walking or biking – points that are converted into cash for chosen charities.

“For my charity, I chose St, Jude’s Hospital,” Greg says. “This is the kind of thing that makes Movilitas a special place. We’re a tight-knit family with a focus on social responsibility, wellness, and work life balance.”

At the same time, of course, Movilitas really knows what it’s doing. Most of its people come directly from the industries they serve with Movilitas and SAP – thus delivering to customers not only IT know-how, but deep domain knowledge as well. Or as Greg puts “We help our customers do what all companies want to do: reduce costs and increase profits.”

A strong culture focused on giving combined with a firm focus on helping customers succeed. Consider it the best of both worlds.
