SAP BUILD | Image Prototype
Hi Readers !!
I hope you are doing good. First of all, thank you very much for reading this blog. I hope this will be helpful for you.
In this blog, I am going to write about how to build a working prototype by simply uploading rough design images in SAP BUILD.
Step1
If you don’t have an account in SAP BUILD then go to this link https://standard.build.me/ and Sign up. Once you sign up, you will appear to your workspace.
Step 2
Create a new project by clicking on the ‘NEW PROJECT’ button.
Name: IMAGE PROTOTYPE
Description: Upload your image and create a design flow
Then select ‘START WITH TEMPLATE’
Once you have selected then you will be landing to Prototype Building Framework. Where you need to give the name of your prototype.
Name: IMAGE_PROTOTYPE
Select Image Tab
Here, you can able to upload the image that you have sketched a rough prototype. Once you successfully uploaded the images you start building your prototype. If you hover your mouse cursor on any of the images, you might find one ‘+’ icon written with ‘Drag and release for Hotspot‘.
This will help you to create a hotspot. A hotspot is something which helps you create a click event. Create a hotspot on the ‘Educational Details’ Tab and redirect to Page 2.
It means if you click on the Educational Tab it will navigate to Page 2.
So, from Page 1,
Create another hotspot on the ‘Educational Details’ Tab of Page 1 and redirect to Page 2.
Create another hotspot on the ‘Prior Employment Details’ Tab of Page 1 and redirect to Page 3.
So, from Page 2,
Create another hotspot on the ‘Personal Details’ Tab of Page 2 and redirect to Page 1.
Create another hotspot on the ‘Prior Employment Details’ Tab of Page 2 and redirect to Page 3.
So, from Page 3,
Create another hotspot on the ‘Personal Details’ Tab of Page 3 and redirect to Page 1.
Create another hotspot on the ‘Prior Educational Details’ Tab of Page 3 and redirect to Page 2.
Now, you are done with your prototype. You can preview the prototype by clicking on the eye icon.
You can also share the prototype once previewed by clicking on the Share button.
You can find the link, by which anyone can access your prototype who is having SAP BUILD account.
Isn’t it so easy?
Many Thanks!!

Almost too easy! Once you get a good design - you have to be able to make it happen. I'm not serious of course. It really helps with a good solid spec before writing all that code. I just haven't used it lately. Too deep into actual code. I have heard I can download the code. I have also heard that is a horrible thing to do. So I'll have to wait and try it myself sometime in the future. Even if it doesn't download the code very well, it makes it easier for people to visualize just what they want/need.
Hello Rahul,
Thanks for the step by step guide!
Is there a realease planned with fiori 3 / Quartz design for build?
