My Experience – SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Fiori Application Developer – C_FIORDEV_20

Hi Community,

Continuing my certification journey, here I would like to share my experience about C_FIORDEV_20 – Fiori Application Developer Certification.

Background

This certification is for anyone who is either currently developing SAPUI5/Fiori Apps or has a keen interest in it with zero hands-on exposure. Existing developers can expand their horizon by learning and imbibing development best practices and guidelines while newbies can build their knowledge on What, Why and How part of Fiori Apps.

Value Add

Post clearing this certification one can understand & propose nature of apps based on business requirements, floorplans to be used, out of the box Fiori features and discuss architectural concepts. One will also learn deployment options and respective benefits along with extensibility capabilities. This in turn helps one to see the solution from an End to End Perspective.

Preparation Tips

Below is the course material enough to crack this exam. For one to gauge the effort, I have listed the page count as well 😉

  1. UX402 – 315 pages
  2. UX403 – 159 pages
  3. UX410 – 285 pages
  4. Ux412 – 131 – pages
  5. UX100 – 216 pages

Preparation Methodology

After reading the books, go through some essential concepts on demokit or if you have a system then practice the same. This will enable you to answer code snippet-based questions.

Feedback is always welcome and Happy to help in case of further queries.

Happy Learning 🙂

Wow!  You read all of that.   I tend to use books as reference material and usually don't read the whole thing.  This is impressive.

      Thank you!

I'm off of SCN more than I'm on it these days.   Darn that real work, it really gets in the way.   As usually not being totally serious.  I do love my job.  I also love interacting with people here.

      Hi Akshat,

You need to purchase subscription to the SAP Learning Hub (https://learninghub.sap.com/)  to be able to read the books.

      Thanks and Regards.

      Thanks for the information Ankit.

      Just one more query:

If I purchase the Certification Hub subscription, 'll I get the access to the learning hub as well?

      Thanks

      Akshat

      Hi Akshat,

If you are talking about https://training.sap.com/course/cer006-sap-certification-in-the-cloud-6-attempts-certification-online-010-in-en/ as certification hub then you won't get access to learning material.

But with purchasing an access to learning hub, you gain access to learning material, 20 hours of live cloud access and 2 certification attempts.

So, learning hub susbcription is more wholesome I feel.

      Thanks and Regards.

Hi Ankit, very useful blog, Thanks a ton for sharing some tips. I have a question specific to the Learning Hub, if I may ask which edition of learning hub did you subscribe to? Business, Solution or Professional?

      Hi Divya,

I subscribed to the Internal edition which is only for employees I believe.

Please contact below to know the right choice since I am not aware of their differences.

      education.india@sap.com

      Hope it helps.

      Best Regards.

      Hi Ankit,
      Greetings of the day!

Many thanks for writing this blog and share the insights about the exam.
My question to you is about the course content.
The books that you have mentioned here, we need to read them completely to clear the exam, or just a few topics from each?

Hoping to have a response soon from you.

      Warm Regards

      Hi Bhanu,

      Thank you.

If your aim is to just pass the certification and if you have not worked on the topics then a simple skimming will not help.

If you have worked with SAPUI5, then a 80% reading of topics is good to clear the certification, rest you can answer based on work experience.

      Thanks and Regards.
