Efficiency and order are critical for running successful business. For example if you are a service provider who employ technicians, or business developer who searches for generating more and more opportunities. for such use cases and many others SAP Business One enables you to define a tree of territories:
In the above example, the service provider has divided the service area into three main territories. Each territory is divided between few teams based on the number of customers in each area. Depends on the business, you can assign territory to business partner and/or to opportunity, and later also generate reports using territories as selection criteria.
You can either define a flat list of territories or hierarchical tree, drag and drop territory to change its location in the structure, set a territory as inactive (for example, in case of reduced activity / organizational change in certain area) and remove unnecessary territories if they are not linked to other entity such as opportunity.
