Carry BoM UDF Into Production Order

User-defined fields (UDFs) are very powerful enabling you to add to SAP Business One the special details that are relevant to your business only and tailor forms to best fit your needs. The UDFs are supported by many of the forms, header and lines, including in Bill of Material (BoM) and Production Order. To increase efficiency of production processes, drawing value from UDFs in BoM lines to respective UDFs in production order is made available:

Just make sure to define the exact same UDF in BoM lines & Production Order lines – i.e. title, description, type, structure, etc. must be identical in both entities. This way, the value entered in that UDF in the BoM will be populated automatically in the respective field in the Production Order.

Available in SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.3. This tip and all the other tips are available on the Tip of the week community page. You can also visit the Implementation Arena for useful implementation tips.

      Hi Maya,

      Nice feature 🙂

Do you know if its also possible in other Objects?

For example from Item Masterdata to Document Lines?
