Creating Projects in SAP Web IDE

SAP Web IDE has many great features that help developers be more productive.

One of these features is the creation of new projects from templates. We often hear customers say how much they love this feature that helps them get an easy start with new projects.

We have recently made a change in the new project wizard to simplify the process even more.

You can now choose the runtime environment for the project you want to create and get a filtered list of templates that match the chosen environment.

In addition, you can now create SAP Fiori applications for Cloud Foundry in one single step, whereas before you had to first create an MTA application and then, after the project was created, you would add an HTML5 module to it.

Now, you simply need to create a new application for the Cloud Foundry environment, filter to see SAP Fiori applications, and choose one of the available templates.

You will notice the module is created as part of your project.

I hope you enjoyed reading this short blog, and that you like the improvements I shared. 🙂
