You may remember my blog post about pushing down the evaluation of so-called “FEMS queries” into the Db2 for i database from September last year. If not, check it out here: SAP on IBM i: Pushing FEMS Queries to the Database Level.

Until now, the FEMS Pushdown support was limited to queries on Flat InfoCubes. With the corrections in SAP Note 2764474 – IBM i: BW: FEMS restriction pushdown on DSO, FEMS queries on DataStore objects have become eligible for FEMS Pushdown on Db2 for i as well.

The BW Sanity Checks (see also SAP on IBM i: Improvements in the BW Sanity Checks) in the DBA-Cockpit have also been adapted. They check now whether the FEMS Pushdown support for DataStore objects is installed in the monitored system. Because FEMS Pushdown is no longer a sole feature of Flat InfoCubes, the check of the FEMS Pushdown configuration has been moved from the checks for Flat InfoCubes to its own node. Call transaction DBACOCKPIT and follow the path Diagnostics -> BW Sanity Checks -> FEMS Pushdown to review the status of the FEMS Pushdown support.
