SAP Cloud Integration version 2.47.x has been enhanced to enable you to copy and paste the adapter configuration within an integration flow artifact.

This feature is introduced in the integration flow web editor in the form of the ‘Copy Configuration’ and ‘Paste Configuration’ action buttons that appear when you select the adapter.

It works between two sender adapters or two receiver adapters.

This blog describes how to use this feature.

In the SAP Cloud Integration tool, open the integration flow that you want to edit.

The ‘Copy Configuration’ action button for copying the adapter and its configuration is displayed.

Choose ‘Copy Configuration’ and select the target adapter where you want to paste the copied adapter configuration. In this example it is a HTTP adapter.

Choose ‘Paste configuration’. In the confirmation dialog, choose ‘Yes’ to proceed with pasting the copied adapter configuration.

After the adapter configuration is successfully replaced, a toast message is displayed. The target HTTP adapter configuration is overwritten by the copied SOAP Adapter configuration.

Remember:

  • The paste function overwrites any existing configuration on the adapter including its type.

  • This feature only works between two sender adapters or two receiver adapters. Copying a sender adapter's details to receiver adapter or vice versa is not supported.

  • It is available only for adapters within the communication channel.

Summary

The copy and paste of adapter configuration feature enables you to copy the adapter configuration and paste it to the target adapter which you wish to override within the same integration flow artifact.
