Multitenant Upgrade to 18c successfully tested

Good news for you!

I had the chance to test the Multitenant Upgrade in an SAP environment. This was considered as part of SAPs releasing process of Oracle 18c.

The environment I was using is the following:

Source Oracle RDBMS Release: 12.2

A CDB with 2 PDBs (ABAP and JAVA in separate PDBs)

SAP NW 7.5

From a technical point of view, the upgrade is working, CDB and PDBs got correctly and successfully upgraded to 18c.

However, the upgrade itself is complex. Includes lot of small steps and one have to take care of tiny details.

The White Paper of this upgrade will be published as soon as possible, so stay tuned for the updates.
