What is Schedule an Expert?

Schedule an Expert lets you connect one-on-one with SAP product support in a live, 30-minute Skype call with screen-sharing. Book a time that works for you and talk to the same engineer that you would create an incident with – but spend less time waiting for response and resolution for technical issues. Schedule an Expert has significantly fewer interactions or less ping-ponging than traditional written incidents.

How Can Schedule an Expert Help SAP NetWeaver Customers?

BC-INS-* Support Help

With Schedule an Expert, you can book a call with a support engineer and get the BC-INS-* support you want.

The BC-INS-* component handles issues with the Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) and the SAPinst tool. These install tools are used to:

  • Install/setup SAP systems from scratch
  • To copy and migrate systems
  • To rename a system (SID), and
  • To split the system (Dual Stack Splitting).

 

There are different versions of the tool available based on the operating system, database and maintenance timeline. During an Schedule an Expert session, a support engineer can assist with these types of technical issues.
