An OpenUI5 Based Editor for MII Web Content.

Over the past few years or so I have started to encounter environments with strict limitations on access to the types of development software I prefer to use when working on MII web content. Web IDE is often not available as an option yet. As you may know the editor available in the MII Workbench is ok but not ideal. Because of this I went looking for a solution. I noticed at some point UI5 began to include some code editing functionality based on the Cloud9 IDE. You can look at the details of that functionality here. I decided to spend a little time and see if I could put together a web based editor for MII based on the functionality now available in UI5. As you can see in the screenshot below it has a typical layout and only gives access to edit the Web content of your MII projects.

I have had a lot of success using it for a while so I have decided to put it out there in case any in the MII community can benefit from or even improve on it.

Click here to download the editor archive and for some instructions on how to get it up and running in your environment.

Regards,
Christian

The SAP development team should take you as a model. I appreciate your effort.

Good solution. Unfortunately it doesn't support transactions editing.

But i think that this should not be third-part developers initiative to continue working on UI5 workbench solution. Will SAP team work on it?
