Need to reflect in documents the insurance, shipment, and other costs related to goods?

With SAP Business One you can manage freight charges on document level and row level; the total amount of the document is updated accordingly. If you manage perpetual inventory, you can add the value of freight charges in purchasing documents to the cost of your goods. In addition you can also define whether the last purchase price should include the respective freight charges.

To manage freight charges, choose Administration > System Initialization > Document Settings > General tab and select the “Manage Freight in Documents” checkbox. Choose the “Freight – Setup” button to define the various freight charges:

When creating documents, dedicated fields and columns are available for entering the relevant freight charges. The “Freight Charges” window details the freight charges included in the given document:

You can draw freight charges from base document to target document, assign them to respective project and distribution rule, and so on.

Available in SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One.
