Fiori visual theme Issue “Write some Text here….” for workflow

Prior:- We all are moving towards Fiori Visual Theme for SAP. While doing so we may encounter some issue. Here, I am sharing one issue that our users faced during testing in quality environment.

During testing in quality client users have activated SAP Fiori visual theme option from SAP Logon 7.50. After Fiori visual theme user is approving transaction request from Business Workplace (SBWP Tcode) i.e. user decision step in workflow.

While rejecting transaction request it will ask to enter rejection reason.When user clicked on continue without entering any justification reason his request submitted with “Write some Text here….” as justification reason.

Whereas submitting request without Fiori visual theme will gives error as “Create a reason for the selected alternative”.So, With Fiori theme we want similar functionality i.e error message as “Create a reason for the selected alternative”

Let’s understand both scenario in brief.

Without Fiori visual theme – In this scenario error will be generated as “Create a reason for the selected alternative”

From SAP Logon 7.50 go to Options->Visual Design-> Theme Preview/Settings unchecked Accept SAP Fiori visual theme.

Go to Business Workplace (Tcode SBWP)

Approving or rejecting transaction i.e. user decision step in a workflow select ‘Reject’ as shown below.

It will ask for Rejection reason Click on Reason option as shown below.

Now if we click on Continue without any reason, SAP GUI gives error “Create a reason for the selected alternative”.

With Fiori Visual Theme – In this scenario no errors will be displayed and consider “Write some text here ….” in the form of justification text

While clicking Continue Reason will be submitted  without any error and takes “Write some Text here….” as justification reason text.

Resolution:-

The fix for this issue is released in patch 6 or above for SAP GUI Windows Release 7.50.

During error PAtch Level was 2 as shown below.

I have installed Patch level 8.

Which will not consider “Write some Text here….” as justification text and ask for Proper reason to Reject user decision text.

Now it is giving error as “Create a reason for the selected alternative” for Fiori visual theme also.
