When I wrote about what SAP Community had planned for the SAP TechEd events, I summed our focus up in one word: engagement. The goal of our presence at SAP TechEd was (and is) to connect with community members through great content and one-on-one interactions.

We demonstrated that focus in Las Vegas, then again in Barcelona. And for SAP TechEd in Bangalore -- historically the SAP TechEd event with the most traffic -- we're promising more of the same!

From November 28 to 30, members of my team and I will once again be hanging out in the Community Lounge within the Developer Garage area of the show floor, but you'll feel the Developer & Community Relations vibe elsewhere. After all, SAP Community goes way beyond sap.com/community and our SAP TechEd space.

Here's what we have in store leading up to -- and at -- SAP TechEd in Bangalore:

  • Our salute to Developer and Community Heroes will continue with banners displayed near the entrance.

  • Our tutorial and scholarship contests awarded free passes for the Bangalore event, and we anticipate several winners will take full advantage of the SAP TechEd learning opportunities (and stop by the Community Lounge to introduce themselves). In fact, scholarship winners Manish Gupta, Sriram Somasundaram, and Swaroop Anasane are planning to attend SAP TechEd for the first time, courtesy of our contest, and we look forward to seeing them (and others)!

  • The Community Lounge will again feature a professional photographer who will snap free headshots -- giving attendees the perfect opportunity to update their community profile pics.

  • Elsewhere in the Developer Garage, the App Space will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about various SAP technologies via free tutorials and missions -- all of which will provide people a chance to win prizes for completion.

If you won't be in attendance, then make sure to follow @SAPCommunity on Twitter to keep track of all the cool activities happening at the Community Lounge in Bangalore. But if you will be there, please come by to talk to us. And before you even make the trip, let us know you'll be at SAP TechEd by commenting on this blog post. We want to give you a "I'll Be There!" badge for your profile.

Just another way to thank you for being part of the community...before we get a chance to thank you in person at Bangalore!
