Over the past weeks, the SAP Transformation Navigator and Road Maps team has been travelling around the world to share our services with SAP customers, partners, and employees at various conferences. The team had presence at the global TechEds, VNSG Conference, and the DSAG Congress. At these events, our SAP Transformation Navigator experts hosted interactive booths and presented in-depth workshops to highlight how the tool guides customers toward the Intelligent Enterprise. The team also supported product and solution owners with their official SAP Road Map presentations.
VNSG, the Dutch-speaking SAP Users Group, has a membership of more than 8,000 SAP customers. Located in the Netherlands, they organize over 100 events on various SAP-related topics, including seminars, workshops, and conferences. “Connect to Innovate” is VNSG’s annual conference, where this year’s focus was bridging the intersection between Business and IT, through discovering the latest developments and trends in digital transformation.
This year, over 1500 attendees attended 150 sessions over the two-day VNSG conference; and 8 of those were Road Map sessions, with a total of 345 participants. These sessions covered various topics, including the SAP Transformation Navigator. Many customers were very curious to learn more about the tool and one professional commented: “I will have a further look into this tool to see how I can help my customers transform their digital landscape to the Intelligent Enterprise”.
“Business without Borders, the Architecture of the Future” was this year’s theme for the 19th annual congress for DSAG, the German-speaking SAP User Group with over 55,000 individual members. Over 5,000 attendees gathered in Leipzig, Germany for the Congress, to discuss a range of 50 topics, which included the SAP Transformation Navigator and SAP’s official Road Maps.
The SAP Transformation Navigator team lined up an exciting workshop presentation and interactive booth to engage with customers. After being featured in Michael Kleinemeier’s The Transformation Journey Towards the Intelligent Enterprise keynote, many spectators approached our SAP Experts, Corinne Reisert and Dietmar Maier, to learn more about the tool. The SAP Transformation Navigator presentation was a huge success where over 50 conference attendees were introduced to the tool and participated in an interactive demonstration. In addition, Reisert and Maier had over 30 one-on-one conversations with customers where they highlighted key features of the tool and explained how organizations can use the tool to optimize their transformation journey to the intelligent enterprise.
The SAP Road Maps team also organized 9 Road Map sessions at this year’s DSAG congress, with an astounding 1,380 customers in attendance. SAP customers provided outstanding feedback following each session, some quotes included: "very good talk!", "lots of new, valuable details", "best talk I've seen so far at the conference!"

Starting off with TechEd Las Vegas, there were over 5,400 attendees, 1,245 companies, and 55 countries present at this event. The conference hosted 90 Road Map seminars, with an estimated 4,000 attendees, which covered upcoming strategy and development plans for featured SAP products and solutions.
The SAP Transformation Navigator was part of the Digital Business Services Expert Bar. Specifically, the tool was featured in the “Plan the Intelligent Enterprise” phase, where customers could utilize the tool to kickstart conversations, draft an initial product map, and begin strategizing their transformation journey to embed intelligent technologies into their organization. Here, customers were invited to start an exclusive discussion on their digital transformation journey with Product Business Owner, Hans-Juergen Schoepp. In these tailored conversations, Schoepp provided customers with clear guidance on how to migrate to SAP S/4HANA through designing and implementing business processes with the help of the SAP Transformation Navigator. The tool was also highlighted in the SAP S/4HANA Readiness Check presentation.
SAP’s Chief Technology Officer and President, Björn Goerke opened TechEd Barcelona with a futuristic, galaxy themed keynote, where he invited conference attendees to explore the rising opportunities with SAP. His mission is to transform every SAP customer to an Intelligent Enterprise. Goerke emphasized “the transformation will be a moonshot – it will take multiple steps and preparation but wherever your company is in your transformation journey, SAP will pick you up and transform your organization to an Intelligent Enterprise.”
At TechEd Barcelona, SAP product and solution owners presented 94 Road Map sessions, highlighting the upcoming plans for the SAP portfolio; an estimated 4,000 participants attended these sessions.

A UK-based customer in the luxury retail fashion industry attended the workshop, where they were introduced to the tool, participated in a live demo, and learned how they can best utilize the SAP Transformation Navigator to elevate their digital business. Intrigued by the workshop, they spoke to SAP Expert, Sandra Graser, to learn more about the tool. Here, Graser walked the luxury retail fashion customer through the industry-specific product map template so they could begin customizing their own transformation journey. The customer was ecstatic and commented, “The SAP Transformation Navigator is exactly what we needed. We are in the process of migrating our digital landscape to SAP S/4HANA, and the industry-specific guide provides us with clear direction to map out our transformation journey.”
