When connecting to SAP using a SAP Applications / SAP BW Source / SAP BW Target Datastore, the RFC_LOGON_FAILURE Error is quiet a common error.

This specific error occurs if the authentication method for the user id is set to Single Sign On / Active directory enabled. For datastore connection in SAP Data Services, you will need a password enabled user account. Contact basis to amend the authentication settings for the user and after changing the initial password for the user account, connect with the user and password credentials combination on the datastore.
