For many SAP Teched is not just a conference to learn and socialize. It's an amazing energy that keeps them motivated. My first Teched was in 2012 when my manager wanted me to attend it. Since then I didn't miss it. I am always surprised by the content being shared in this event - I need 5 more Midhuns to cover it.

So much to learn, so little time

This year I was more focused on hands-on sessions than the lectures. I usually used to focus on a single topic and cover all the hands-on and lectures related to it. But, since I am working on SAP Cloud Platform, and it's not just a product but a platform including many services it's not easy to attend all the sessions on each service. So, I have attended the handsons as many as possible so that I will never forget what I learned - As the quote says "what you hear, you forget; what you see, you remember; what you do, you understand".
I also had an opportunity to deliver a couple of hands-on sessions which kept me superbusy during the event.

A lot of faces from the past!

When you are at Teched the chances are high that you are meeting like-minded people and your old friends. The best places to be at are SAP Mentors Reception(the evening before Teched- as an SAP Mentor Alumnus and SAP Technology Ambassador I was invited) and the Developer Garage(#wherethecoolshithappens).
Even with 5 hours of sleep a day, I will complain that "there wasn't enough time to meet everyone I wanted". It was amazing to catchup with each other after a year.

Customers

I couldn't be more thrilled! One of the most important reasons to be at Teched is the chance to meet all our customers in one place. As usual, our team has created a dedicated SAP Cloud Platform specific agenda for our customers. It was amazing to see them on stage presenting - I think it was a great opportunity for the audience to understand the actual architectures of customers with SAP Cloud Platform. Over the dinner, we talked about SAP,... and Yoga 😉

And the passionate!

People who skipped lunch or ate less to attend a session, slept less to meet people, drank a lot ?, wore blue shirts(of course the Mentors), put on SAP shoe, socks... I am sure that it will take some time to come out of what you have experienced in the last 3 days. For everyone attended it was a memorable and unforgettable event.

I am back to Dubai with my heart full of gratitude - and hope to see you next year ?
