ABAP CodeRetreat Update

Dear ABAP CodeRetreat friends,

(Source: Photo by ian dooley on Unsplash)

Our format has proven well over the last few years, which has led to further development of various contents. Now we have some new tasks in the program and are working with specialized event formats, that we created. For example, the Legacy CodeRetreat for which we have developed a code base for the programming language ABAP and Java to continue to work with this format.

Should there be any interest in further development regarding this format for other technologies, for example in the UI environment with SAP UI5 and Javascript, we can quickly adapt to different situations.

Christian and I will continue to support these formats and believe that they will work well for applying practical technology. For the support of 2019, we will be hosting four event formats in Germany and four events in our spare time outside of Germany.

Anyone who would like to help us in our ambitions or would like to be a host, please feel free to organize an ABAP Code Retreat event yourself. All the pieces of information are given on the page of For any questions, please contact us anytime.

So guys! If you’re interested in hosting an event next year with Christian and me, get in touch with us. There are still available spots!

Hey Community, keep movin’ forward…

These sound like a great experience! Do you have any materials you could share on how you organized one? Details on the exercises that attendees executed? We may be interested in hosting one but would like to know more about how much of a commitment it would be. Thanks for sharing this fantastic idea!
