SAP HANA Cockpit APIs – by the SAP HANA Academy
Introduction
SAP HANA Cockpit 2.0 SP 07 introduces POST APIs, so you can now programmatically perform the most common SAP HANA Cockpit Manager administration tasks.
In the tutorial videos below, we show you how you can use the APIs to register resources, create resource groups and add resources to those groups, and how to create cockpit users.
Sample Code
For the sample code, see the Cockpit API Github repository for the SAP HANA Academy.
For the sample tool, see Postman Makes API Development Simple.
Tutorial Videos
in the first video, we explain the prerequisites (service key, OAuth token, cockpit-adminui-svc URL) and show how you can test your POST APIs in Postman.
in the second video, we make some sample POST APIs and show the equivalent manual task in the Cockpit Manager.
