Helping You with SAP’s External Tax Solution for the United States
We’ve noticed that customers and partners using SAP’s External Tax Solution for the US have had some questions along the way, and we all know that since we have to deal with taxes, we want it to be as simple as possible, so we wanted to drop a post here shortly to point out places you can find the information that you need to configure your solution properly.
One of the most important parts in implementing this solution is making sure that the connection between your CPI tenant and your tax partner is set up properly. To make sure that it is correctly set up, you can use the External Tax Configuration Check app to check on the configurations. More information about how this works can be found here.
For other questions, have a look at the Troubleshooting document linked there, or consult the Release Information Note for the solution–an extensive list of questions and answers is there to help you.
If an iFlow or another part of your communication scenario is missing or not functioning properly, you will need to consult with your tax partner for guidance on correcting that.
And please note that we are aware of some scenarios where the tax calculation result is not as expected, which we have laid out in the restriction note.
Now, in most cases, this information will help you resolve your problems and your tax solution will function properly. If that is not the case, and you have a question not addressed here, please do let us know, and we will update the information and spread the word accordingly!
